It’s certainly no secret that I am a Mac user and a Mac lover. Perhaps even a Mac cult follower. That said, I really can’t pass up commenting on Microsoft’s new Windows Vista commercials.
No- I’m not talking about the Seinfeld Gates commercials. I’m talking about the “Mojave Experiment” series. The ads show some people being introduced to all the cool features of the new Windows operating system dubbed Mojave.
The users seemed amazed if not stunned by all the awesome features. Do these people really use computers? Shortly after they let the presenters know how impressed they are with the new OS they are told that it is really Windows Vista.
Does Vista suck so bad that Microsoft has to fake people out to buy it. Is that really a good marketing strategy? I would have loved to been a fly on the wall when the advertisement creators presented the pitch for the first time. Was there a horrible silent pause with a room full of shocked faces or was it a great laugh from the start.
I have to applaud Microshaft (Ooops sorry Microsoft) for getting out there with a media campaign. On the flip-side the new Microsoft commercials fail to be as humorous as the “Get a Mac” ads.
If you missed the commercial you can visit the “Mojave Experiment” website.

Yes – they even created a website to continue the charade. Perhaps you can download the video to your Microsoft Zune. Do they still make those?
