In case you didn’t know I’m a bit of a foodie. I enjoy a variety of food related television shows. Some more popular than others. We have all heard of Emeril and if your a foodie you have probably heard of Iron Chef (the original) and like shows. I grew up watching Julia Child and Justin Willson.
I recently stumbled across Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations” show on the Travel Channel. I had heard of Bourdain in the past. No Reservations is a no fluff show about Anthony’s travels around the globe. Bourdain is a snout to tail chef so you get to see him try some items that most of us would not dare to eat.
Bourdain a somewhat ADHD riddled, chain smoking, alcoholic, is a very interesting character. He speaks his mind when something is boring, outrageous, nasty or good. This quirky show shows you that some of the best places to go are often off the beaten path. No Reservation is not just about the food. The somewhat mixed food and travel show finds a happy medium that works for me. If your a foodie, pick up one of Bourdain’s books and definitely checkout No Reservations.
No Reservations, is currently being aired on the Travel Channel on Mondays at 10PM ET/PT.
