June 25, 2009 will forever be known as the day the “King of Pop” died. Jackson was perhaps one of the most iconic and controversial individuals of my time. Jackson was absolutely the Elvis Presley of my generation.
I remember watching the premiere Billie Jean video on Friday Night Videos (you know, before MTV). The Thriller video was an hour long special on prime-time television. Everyone watched it, everyone!
Perhaps todays generation only knows Jackson as “Wacko Jacko” the pajama wearing pedophile. Jackson was undoubtedly a freak; but he must get credit for his contributions to the music world.
