Each year hundreds of bikers meet at local spots in Virginia to stage and join the national Ride to the Wall. We love going out and watching the local parade of bikers keeping the tradition alive and well.
It’s hard to express the feeling of pride, honor and support for our soldiers that have been lost and are memorialized in many ways over this Memorial Day weekend. I love seeing these bikes and more importantly the bikers that ride from great distances to honor our fallen and fighting.
It seems there are more and more bikes every year. I can’t imagine how many bikes pass through town on their way to Washington. Just our local staging area (one of many) took nearly forty-five minutes to roll through.
Perhaps one day we will venture into DC to see all of them in one place. Perhaps one day we will ride ourselves (been a long time since I owned a motorcycle). I know its on my wife’s bucket list!
Just a few minutes from our local meet-up joining the greater group. Just this small group went for almost an hour.
