Everyone stand-up and applaud… It’s about damn time! Apple announced that starting today “iTunes Plus is the new standard”. Not only is the music DRM free it is 256-Kbps AAC encoded. Awesome!
High-quality, DRM-free music. iTunes Plus is the new standard on iTunes. Now, you can choose from millions of iTunes Plus songs from all four major music labels and thousands of independents. With iTunes Plus, you get high-quality, 256-Kbps AAC encoding. All free of burn limits and digital rights management (DRM). So iTunes Plus music will play on iPod, Apple TV, all Mac and Windows computers, and many other digital music players. It’s also easy to upgrade your iTunes library to iTunes Plus. You don’t have to buy the song or album again. Just pay the 30¢ per song upgrade price. (Music video upgrades are 60¢ and entire albums can be upgraded for 30 percent of the album price.)
Apple now offers 8 of its 10 million songs in the Plus 256-Kbps DRM free format. I assume they are working on the other 2 million.
Upgrade your library today. Open iTunes and go to the store. Under “Quick Links” choose the Plus link and the store will provide you with total dollar amount for all the possible upgradeable songs. Nice.
Thanks Apple

And for todays reading from the book of “Why Microsoft Sucks” page 9568…
Many poor Microsoft Zune owners were left without their tunes when the New Year rocked and rolled into 2009. Microsoft reported there was a “bug” with the handling of time and leap year settings.
Even after a fix was posted, several Zune owners reported they were still experiencing issues.
Are people really still buying the Zune player?
Yet another reason to love your iPod…

So we all put a silly little list of new years resolutions together that we all really know were not going to keep… I was talking to a co-worker the other day and he had a really good idea. Make resolutions you know you would never keep. So here is my list for 2009.
- Don’t live too heathy.
- Don’t exercise too much.
- Don’t start smoking.
- Don’t stop drinking.
- Don’t work too hard.
Yep - I think I can achieve all of those.
Let’s hope 2009 is a hell of a lot better than 2008!
Happy New Year!

Everyone knows that I L-O-V-E everything Apple/Mac. My absolutely darling, beautiful, spectacular, awesome wife got me a 32G iPod Touch for Christmas. I know- she’s the greatest!
Let me tell you, I have been dieing to get my hands on a iPhone but I just cant go back to AT&T. We had them for several years and their service was horrible. Hopefully Apple will branch out to other carriers in the near future. Please!
My new Touch is the next best thing to the iPhone. Actually it is the same thing as the iPhone less the ability to make calls and take pictures. For now I can certainly live without those two features.
The iPod touch technology is simply the best! Awesome screen, amazing features, and excellent apps make this little beauty one of my favorite Mac toys. And yes I have a lot of Mac toys
Thanks Babe - You Rock!
