I went for my pre-op visit with the doctor today. I can’t believe how close I am… I am so excited. Before I met anyone I had to weigh-in. Damn, I have lost 25 pounds (OptiFast Day 12) !!! Damn, I didn’t think it was that much. That was a nice treat. I guess this OptiFast works.
I met with my surgeon first. He asked if I had any questions or concerns, how I was feeling and was I ready. I told him I am feeling excellent and I was ready to go. He was his amazing calm and reassuring self. He mentioned that perhaps I would be able to go home the same day as my surgery since I was the first of the day. We will have to wait and see how it goes… That would be great.
After I met the doctor I went off to my pre-op with the dietician. We went over the protein requirements for the upcoming weeks and the “mushy” diet I would be on for a couple of weeks after surgery. I can do mushy; just no more OptiFast thank God! I also sampled some chewable vitamins that the dietician had in her office. I chose the orange flavored ones. They aren’t bad at all.
One more day, one more day till surgery. AWESOME
